
The Reverend Joseph Glaze has been called as the Interim Pastor for The United Church of Christ of Annapolis. A native of New Orleans, Rev. Glaze is married to the Reverend Jennifer Montgomery, Rector of St Andrews’s Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia.
They make their home in Arlington; between them they have eight children—six of whom are married….and six grandchildren.
Joe is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary (Presbyterian Church, USA) in Richmond, Virginia and is completing requirements for a doctorate from Wesley Theological Seminary (United Methodist) in Washington DC.
Joe comes to Annapolis UCC from a seven-year pastorate of the First Baptist Church, Hamilton, New York; an American Baptist Church with an ecumenical congregation and the “Mother Church” of Colgate University founded in 1819 for the education of Ministers. He has been involved in urban Christian social ministry and theological education. Rev. Glaze is in the process of receiving ordained ministerial standing in the United Church of Christ.
He is an avid fisherman, and he and Jenny are hikers and kayakers.
